DIY Thankful Chalkboard That's Perfect for Thanksgiving!

We have tons of Halloween and Christmas decorations, as well generic fall ones. but nothing that screams THANKSGIVING! I wanted to change that, so I quickly created this simple Thankful chalkboard.
It's a great interactive piece of decor that my family now uses to jot down things we're thankful for, big or small. It was so easy to make too, even that pretty chalk hand lettering...thanks to a little trick. ;)

I used a hanging chalkboard sign that was 10.5" x 24". It also includes a little tray at the bottom that can hold a piece of chalk....perfect!





And here's our final Thankful Chalkboard!





I love how the white chalk pen POPS off the board and is very distinctive from our little notes. As you can see, we've included some big stuff (like our home) as well as some little stuff (like our favorite football teams having perfect seasons so far!).





We have it hanging on a skinny wall that connects our family room and our kitchen. It's a high-traffic area, so I thought this would be the perfect spot to hang this chalkboard.





This has been a fun little addition and really allows an easy way for our family to reflect this holiday season and share things that are important to us. I love it!
