Plaid Flannel and Embroidery Hoop Wreaths

I was looking for a way to craft some wreaths that could transition well from late fall and stay up throughout the winter. I love plaid flannel for adding that warm and cozy but rustic feel to decor in the colder months.

There wasn't any flannel in the house that deserved to be cut up for crafts, so I headed to the thrift store and found a pair of pajamas in a beautiful rich plaid. I also picked up three sizes of embroidery hoops, and used some twine and rusted bells from my craft supplies.

The largest hoop has a garland of the bells tied across it, and the frame is wrapped with long strips of the plaid fabric. I secured the end of the fabric at the back with some hot glue.

The smallest frame simply has a piece of the flannel stretched over it.

Head over to the blog to find out what I did with the middle sized hoop, and for more detailed measurements and instructions. http://bit.ly/1NooqgF
