It will be no surprise to anyone on Hometalk that I'm an advocate for smaller lawns, so I'm happy to call attention to Pam Penick's new book, "Lawn Gone! Low-maintenance, Sustainable, Attractive Alternatives for Your Yard." Penick gardens in Texas and is the author of a wonderful blog, Digging, but the book is full of great advice no matter where you live.
