Updating a Frame With Duct Tape

If you have an ugly frame that even paint wouldn't help, why not give printed Duct Tape a try and making it look better. It is quick and inexpensive and gives an instant change.

This is the frame that I began with. It really wasn't pretty and I didn't like all of the ridges and didn't want to paint it... so what to do...

Look for duct tape with a pattern that you like. I found these at Hobby Lobby on clearance. I like the colours and the plaid pattern. I thought they were perfect for Fall.

It wasn't quite wide enough to cover the frame so I decided to use it in the middle and leave a little of the wood on the outside edges. I started with the green plaid and made sure to overlap it on the back. I would use hot glue to keep the edges in place.

I decided to add the brown duct tape at an angle and was really happy with how much better it looked than before. I added a print on canvas to remind me to be grateful each day.
