Leaf Coasters DIY

I made these coasters using fabric and Pellon Peltex (stiffener/liner for fabric). Go outside and get your pattern - there are lots and lots of leaves on the ground. I traced a leaf and then folded it over to make it even on both sides.

Buy some gold fabric. I bought mine at Joann Fabrics.





Then buy some of this stuff... it is double sided fusible. So, sandwich this between the fabric with the right sides of the fabric facing out and iron it on to the Pellon. GO by the directions, please, according to heat of the iron, etc. When you are done you will have this very thick fabric that you can use your pattern on to make some leaf coasters.





Once I cut out the coasters, I machine stitched some "veins" in the leaves. It went really fast.
